Summary

SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST

While Mimori’s journey for revenge takes him all over this magical, dangerous world, his classmates are fulfilling their destinies as “heroes” by facing off against the hordes of the Demon King。 Despite the cruel world she’s found herself in, S-class hero and ex-class rep Sogou Ayaka still wants to protect her weaker classmates--from their enemies, and from the cruel whims of the Goddess。 But when it’s just her up against an army of monsters, can she even save herself?

I love this series because it balances action with an OP protagonist very well。 Also, the romance that is building in this series is great and I am feeling bad for the side characters because I thought Too-ka had it rough。

Grinding episode only。

This isekai (Teleported to another world)-Fantasy novel series suffers from two serious faults, the illustrations copied Ais Wallenstein and Riveria (Dan Machi) to make the look of leading girl, Seras Ashrain。 The main story plots, of how Mimori Touka had a "trash skill", seeks revenge (Goddess and rest of the students in his class, for bullying and betraying him to save themselves), has a much better version in Arifureta (From Commonplace to World's Strongest)。 The Harem-retinue-like deal is al This isekai (Teleported to another world)-Fantasy novel series suffers from two serious faults, the illustrations copied Ais Wallenstein and Riveria (Dan Machi) to make the look of leading girl, Seras Ashrain。 The main story plots, of how Mimori Touka had a "trash skill", seeks revenge (Goddess and rest of the students in his class, for bullying and betraying him to save themselves), has a much better version in Arifureta (From Commonplace to World's Strongest)。 The Harem-retinue-like deal is also better written and worked out in Arifureta (by the same publisher by the way)。 Getting sentenced to death is also better explained in Arifureta。 So the million dollar question is, where is this fantasy novel series, original?? The use of a mimic slime, was better written in (That time I got reincarnated as a slime, and Monster Tamer light novel series。)This Volume 4, has a slow pace, with three or four battles with monsters, and the main character and his retinue looking for the other important witch。 The Forbidden Witch。 Touka, is centered in finding a way home, that and getting his revenge groove on (with the Goddess, her henchmen and the rest of the students in Touka's class)。 This volume 4 has 200+ pages, illustrations, cover page and informational pages from the author and publisher, with only 5 chapters。 Although having a large page count per chapter usually means a higher character, world development, no new characters were described in this volume。 Some of the students in the class supposedly died, the rest are trying to get stronger, so as to be able to survive the upcoming monster stampedes。Publisher has programmed Volume 5 for mid October, 2022。 With so little action, so little movement on the main plot arcs and secondary arcs, this light novel series (adapted from a web novel series) could take forever to finish。 The web novel series, has about 500 chapters so far, and it has taken a different route from this light novel series。 You could say they are no longer the same story (with the same characters)。 。。。more

fun readGood light novel with great art。 It’s a little shorter, but that means new ones come out very quickly。 I’ll grab the next one when it comes out。

Overall this was an enjoyable volume, even answered one of my troubling questions, why Kobato was working with Asagi。 The trek to the great ruins was borderline to long, just breaching the grey area, so some might not be happy, but I think it was all necessary to some degree or another。The fated 4th volume reunion of the classmates was not what I was expecting at all, even despite the spoiler reveal in the color images at the start of the book。 Was both relieved and surprised。Very happy that thi Overall this was an enjoyable volume, even answered one of my troubling questions, why Kobato was working with Asagi。 The trek to the great ruins was borderline to long, just breaching the grey area, so some might not be happy, but I think it was all necessary to some degree or another。The fated 4th volume reunion of the classmates was not what I was expecting at all, even despite the spoiler reveal in the color images at the start of the book。 Was both relieved and surprised。Very happy that this volume was finally translated and released on Kindle。 Just hoping the next is released in August and not 6+ months from now。 。。。more
